A 53rd Rendez-Vous des Adhérents that was informative and as effective as ever for networking

25/06/2025

On Monday 16 June, the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) held its 53rd Rendez-Vous des Adhérents. The well-known networking cocktail in the Principality was a key opportunity for the government to inform entrepreneurs about the new digital training initiative, 'Digital FlashUp.' Additionally, the MEB outlined its upcoming events schedule and signed a memorandum of understanding with AMNOR.

More than 400 economic decision-makers registered for this new edition of the Members' Meeting, continuing its success. In his opening remarks, President Michel Dotta warmly praised Isabelle Berro Amadeï, Counsellor-Minister for External Relations and Cooperation, who will soon finish her role as interim Minister of State. "She undertook a challenging role in complex circumstances and completed her mission remarkably." Michel Dotta also welcomed Philippe Mettoux, the new Minister of State, who is set to assume office officially on 4 July.

Diego Bonaventura, Head of the Digital Economy Unit of the Princely Government, announced the upcoming cycle of digital awareness conferences for businesses called "Digital FlashUp." These sessions will last 45 minutes and include coffee and croissants. They will feature experts on each topic. The first session, set for 3 July, will focus on data and GDPR.

Stephan Bruno, Director of Economic Development, highlighted upcoming digital initiatives aimed at enhancing business services by the end of the year. These include new features such as online registration, sole proprietorship creation, and appointment booking with the Monaco Business Office. Additionally, an AI-powered personal assistant developed in partnership with the Monegasque startup Altores is set to debut at the start of the September academic year.

Guillaume Rose, the Executive Director General of the MEB, outlined the key upcoming events. These include three economic missions—one to Japan soon, and others to Shanghai and Jeddah at year's end—along with economic conferences, such as the one with Jean-Pierre Petit from 12 September, receptions for delegations from Andorra, Latvia, Poland, Slovakia, and India, the autumn Members' Meeting (15 September), a B2B session among members in October, participation in the Monaco Business Fair, and the CEMA Africa Day Forum. The year will conclude with the Monaco Eco Club Trophies on 15 December to end the year.

This sequence ended with Michel Dotta and Jean-Franck Bussotti signing a memorandum of understanding between the MEB and the Monegasque Standardisation Association (AMNOR). This agreement aims to promote collaboration with the new entity, which ensures that the Principality has a say in all international standards discussions.

The economic decision-makers had plenty of time to enjoy the stunning setting of the Muse restaurant at Méridien Beach Plaza, providing an ideal environment for networking in a space that seamlessly combines conviviality and business.
