Monaco Coordination: a core mission adapted to the current situation

15/12/2021

As part of its Monaco Coordination mission* which fosters synergies between institutions and private sector players in business, culture, sports and science, contributing to the Principality’s influence and appeal abroad, Monaco Economic Board hosted a meeting on Tuesday 14 December for all those involved to give a progress report. It was held at the Novotel Monte-Carlo and attended by Minister of Finance and Economy, Jean Castellini. Despite many events and activities being cancelled these last two years, due to the health crisis, results were positive with a number of joint events going ahead as soon as the opportunity presented itself.

The shared three-yearly calendar which usually serves as a basis for organising joint operations has been adapted to focus on shorter time periods. For example, in addition to MEB’s Trade Mission to Dubai in January, the first half of 2022 could be marked by the Monaco Private Label Summit set to be held in an in-person/online hybrid format in April, an opportunity to highlight and promote cultural institution members of the Monaco Coordination mission.

At a time when travel remains difficult to predict, coordinating Monegasque entities to promote the Principality beyond its borders makes more sense than ever.
