Promotional operation a success in Dubai with Yachting Cluster

For the second year in a row, the MEB and its Monaco Invest department attended the Dubai International Boat Show. Alongside members of the Cluster Yachting Monaco, the MEB had an excellent opportunity to promote the Principality advantages to a targeted audience.

The Cluster Yachting Monaco and its members who attended* had organised an excellent area in which to receive customers, prospects, visitors and exhibitors. Many key figures including members of the Emirate’s royal family visited the stand or had one-on-one meetings with Cluster members. For example, BehneMar Yachting Consultancy and Espen Oeino International had the privilege of receiving the Crown Prince H.E. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the Vice-President, Prime Minister and Sovereign of Dubai, H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. A primary focus of the stand was promoting the expertise of Monaco as the yachting capital.

For MEB, the operation was an opportunity for Monaco Invest to make new contacts in a region that is a priority target. It was also a chance for its Monaco Chamber of Commerce division to strengthen ties with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI)** which plans to organise its own trade mission to Monaco in the near future. There was also a meeting with the Abu Dhabi CCI, another very important emirate in the United Arab Emirates.

** 26-29 November 2018 when the Sovereign Prince visited Dubai, the MEB organised a Trade Mission. A memorandum of understanding to facilitate strategic cooperation between businesses in the two countries was signed between the MEB and the Dubai CCI by their respective chairmen, Michel Dotta and H.E. Mr Hamad Buamim.
