A promise is a promise! The MEB has prepared an exciting new season packed with a vibrant and diverse line-up of promising events!

Starting September 11, economist Jean-Pierre Petit will return in partnership with Jutheau Husson. On September 16, discover Cabo Verde’s investment opportunities during the conference intituled “Cabo Verde, an Alternative Investment Destination” at the Automobile Club de Monaco. On September 18, we head to the Monaco Business Trade Show, featuring a conference on the importance of security for the Monegasque economy hosted by the Club Éco Monaco - Nice-Matin Group, alongside the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Public Establishment of Commerce and Industry of Corsica. On the 28th, the MEB renews its partnership with Monaco's Association of Certified Public Accountants, in collaboration with 99 Avocats Associés, for a conference on business law. Then, on September 29, Muriel Deya (Monaco Customs) and Etienne Pollet (Nice Customs) will break down the EU's new free trade agreements. 

On October 5, an Extraordinary General Meeting will be held at the Yacht Club de Monaco to discuss the transformation of the MEB into the “Monaco Chamber of Commerce”. It will be followed by the 58th Members’ Rendez-Vous. The following day, we will partner with the Monegasque Digital Chamber for a conference dedicated to cybersecurity challenges.

On the international front, the Monaco Chamber of Commerce will welcome a German delegation from the BWA on October 9, in collaboration with the Embassy of Monaco in Germany. 

Three business trips will be offered at the end of the year:

- From October 13 to 16, we will take you on an economic mission to Montenegro, co-organised with the local Chamber of Commerce and the Consulate of Montenegro in Monaco.

- From November 3 to 10, an economic mission under the auspices of the Embassy of Monaco in China will give you the opportunity to discover the dynamism of Hong Kong, Macao and Shenzhen.

- At the same time, from November 5 to 10, the Embassy of Monaco in China will once again offer the opportunity to participate in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai.

Economic Conference with Jean-Pierre Petit

Jean-Pierre Petit, President of Les Cahiers Verts de l'Économie, will deliver a lecture in the Principality on September 11 to share his insightful analysis of global macroeconomic trends. Conference with the Monaco Order of Chartered Accountants

In partnership with the Monaco Order of Chartered Accountants and in collaboration with 99 Avocats Associés, the MEB will organize a conference on September 28 at the Novotel on the modernization of corporate law, focusing on the topic: "Reform of Corporate Law in Monaco (Law 1573): What impact on management?".

Export Conference with the French Customs in Monaco

As part of this conference organized by the MEB, Muriel Deya, Head of the Monaco Customs Office, and Etienne Pollet, Business Advisor at the Nice Regional Customs Directorate, will provide a comprehensive overview of the new free trade agreements signed by the European Union, notably with Mercosur, India, Indonesia, Australia and the United States.

An Extraordinary General Meeting will be held on October 5, giving members the opportunity to vote on the transformation of the Monaco Economic Board into the Monaco Chamber of Commerce. The “Director” contacts of member companies will receive their invitation by mail. This important milestone will be followed by the 58th Members’ Rendez-Vous.

To kick off the new season in style, and in celebration of the transformation of the MEB into the “Monaco Chamber of Commerce”, the 58th Members’ Rendez-Vous will take place on October 5 at the Yacht Club de Monaco. Prior to the event, an Extraordinary General Meeting will be held to formally approve this change in status.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE FORMALITIES

End of paper ATA Carnets for fully digitized destinations

Since September 1, ATA Carnets, which act as passports for goods during temporary exports, are no longer printed as a backup for destinations that have fully transitioned to the paperless procedure, namely Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Norway and most of the French overseas territories. This measure marks a decisive step in the rollout of the e-ATA Carnet system, which will be progressively extended until the end of 2027.
