The MEB affirms its role in Africa during the 4th Africa Day.
The 4th edition of Africa Day, hosted by CEMA on Monday, November 17, at the Yacht Club of Monaco, once again reaffirmed Africa's key role in global economic outlooks.
Alongside key participants in the Euro-African dialogue, the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) took part in a day of high-level discussions that gathered leaders, experts, diplomats, and entrepreneurs around the theme "Decoding the Issues, Adapting Strategies. " The conversations mainly focused on:
• a clear and realistic assessment of African situations;
• the growth of Pan-Africanism and local value chains;
• key discussions on risk, security, and reputation;
• and a year characterised by the deepening of Monaco-Africa relations.
Regarding this final theme, our Chief Executive Officer, Guillaume Rose, participated in a discussion with Bénédicte Schutz Mourou, Director of Cooperation for the Prince's Government, and Johanna Houdrouge, President of Women Business Leaders of Monaco. They emphasised the ongoing deepening of Monaco-Africa relations, fueled by trust, collaboration, and a commitment to sustainability.
He also highlighted the long-standing and productive collaboration between the MEB and CEMA. A joint economic mission to Togo and Benin is planned for 2026.
At the conclusion of the event, Justin Highman, our Deputy Chief Executive Officer, spoke and emphasised the future growth opportunities discussed during the day. The Principality is committed to realising and expanding this potential in the coming years.
