Renzo Rosso and Arianna Alessi showcase their commitment to sustainability at the Monte Carlo Fashion Week.
During its English-language conferences, the Monaco Economic Board hosted a discussion with OTB Group Founder and President Renzo Rosso, along with OTB Foundation Vice President Arianna Alessi, which was organised for the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week. This event highlighted inspiring testimonials from a duo recognised at the Fashion Awards ceremony.
After a welcome address from MEB Vice President Philippe Ortelli and a brief introduction by Monte-Carlo Fashion Week President Federica Nardoni Spinetta, discussions with the guests were facilitated by Geneviève Berti, Director of Communications for the Princely Government.
Renzo Rosso, the Founder and President of OTB Group, a prominent Italian fashion conglomerate known for brands like Diesel, Jil Sander, Maison Margiela, and Marni, shared an innovative perspective on entrepreneurship, enriched by various anecdotes. His success stems largely from a customer-centric, innovation-driven approach, complemented by a commitment to establishing his group as a responsible entity, certified as a BCorp. This international certification validates a company's adherence to ethical practices regarding its social, societal, and environmental impact. His approach earned recognition with the Positive Change Award at the Fashion Awards ceremony.
Together with Renzo Rosso and Arianna Alessi, Vice President of the OTB Foundation, the group underscored the organisation's dedication to implementing tangible actions. These actions involve direct support for projects chosen based on three criteria: innovation, immediate effect on communities, and sustainability. Over 380,000 individuals worldwide have benefited from the foundation's initiatives, which address challenges related to children's rights, women's rights, sustainability, integration, and emergencies. Another key point emphasised by the speakers was the foundation's careful management, which keeps administrative costs low, thanks to the group's internal expertise. Likewise, Monte-Carlo Fashion Week honoured this comprehensive approach by awarding the Positive Social Impact Award.
During the session, Geneviève Berti and the audience posed questions, leading to an engaging dialogue between the couple, who appeared together for an interview for the first time. This exchange made for a captivating conference characterised by mutual understanding. These two extraordinary individuals exemplify how economic success can coexist with genuine, responsible commitment.
