The Monaco Economic Board (MEB) took part in the 14th World Chambers Congress, held from 2 to 4 September in Melbourne, Australia. Led by CEO Guillaume Rose, the MEB leveraged this global event to expand its network and explore new business prospects for the Principality.

The 14th World Chambers Congress attracted over 1,200 participants from Chambers of Commerce and Industry along with key figures in the global economy, representing more than one hundred countries. It served as an excellent platform for exchanging ideas through conferences, workshops, and keynote sessions on topics such as ecological transition, artificial intelligence challenges, and the international role of SMEs.

Guillaume Rose's attendance in Melbourne was mainly motivated by the chance for numerous bilateral discussions with leaders of Chambers of Commerce from countries identified beforehand, as well as those met spontaneously. These included:

Marko Kadel and Mihailo Vesovic (Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia), Katrina Zarina (Chamber of Commerce of Latvia), H.E. Khalifa Bin Jassim Bin Mohammad Al Thani and Dr. Khalid Bin Klefeekh Al Hajri (Qatar Chamber of Commerce), and Ahmed Al-Hayki (Invest Qatar), Gabriel Idahosa (Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nigeria), Atef Mohamed Al Khaja and Fahad Faisal Al Aynati (Bahrain Chamber of Commerce), Louie Di Palma (Ontario Chamber of Commerce, organiser of the next congress in Toronto in 2027), Thamer A. Baazeem and Fahad S. Damanhourf (Makkah Chamber of Commerce),

Discussions were also conducted with several representatives of the International Chamber of Commerce, the congress organiser affiliated with the MEB.

Guillaume Rose said, "This congress was a unique chance to strengthen our network, spot new opportunities, and prepare ambitious economic missions for the future. The MEB is ready to support Monegasque companies in their international growth, relying on strong and innovative partnerships."

This trip also provided an opportunity for the MEB's Chief Executive Officer to meet Andrew Cannon, Honorary Consul of Monaco in Melbourne. Together with his collaborator Leanne Steinfort, he works on behalf of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and Monaco itself, supporting Monaco's prominent role in Australia's top economic and political circles.
