MEBinar "Collection CEMA" : Economic Opportunities in the Republic of Guinea

At a MEBinar organised by the Monaco Economic Board and the Club des Entrepreneurs Monégasques en Afrique, Guinea outlined its ambition to become a regional economic powerhouse. Under the Simandou 2040 programme, nearly 200 billion dollars of investment is planned to diversify the economy, develop infrastructure, energy and agriculture, and attract investors. This presents an opportunity for cooperation for Monegasque businesses.

Monaco and Switzerland: convergences creating new economic opportunities

The Monaco Economic Board hosted a significant Swiss delegation at MonacoTech on 29 May, uniting the France-Switzerland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI France Suisse), the Swiss Business Hub France, and various business support experts. This marked the final stage of their roadshow exploring business opportunities in Switzerland, organised in collaboration with the Swiss Embassy in France and Monaco, the Consulate General of Switzerland in Marseille, and the Swiss Consulate in Monaco.

On Tuesday, 26 May, at the Marius restaurant, the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) hosted another top-tier global economic outlook conference with award-winning forecaster Christophe Barraud, Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management and Research at Lior Global Partners. This annual event, highly anticipated by the financial community and entrepreneurs in the Principality, was further enhanced by the valuable support of EFG Bank Monaco.

Club Eco Monaco: explaining the challenges of departing from the FATF grey list

On Friday, 22 May, a Club Eco Monaco conference, organised jointly by the MEB and the Nice-Matin Group, took a pedagogical look at the actions implemented as part of the Principality’s “enhanced monitoring” by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). What risks, prospects and opportunities does this entail? Institutional representatives and economic stakeholders answered this strategic question frankly.

MEB steps up local networking and doubles its B2B sessions

True to its commitment to strengthen its local outreach, the Monaco Economic Board (MEB) brought together over 80 decision-makers representing around sixty Monegasque companies on Thursday, 21 May, at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort. This exclusive B2B meeting session generated more than one hundred one-to-one business meetings. An effective formula that appeals to participants and will now be held twice a year.

Monaco and China reaffirm their commitment to strengthening economic ties

At the invitation of the MEB, over 70 leaders and decision-makers from the Principality gathered on Tuesday, 12 May, at the restaurant Castelroc for a “Business Destination' conference, which featured Mr Wang Dong, Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs at the Embassy of China in France and Monaco. Organised with the valuable support of H.E. Mrs Marie-Pascale Boisson, Monaco's Ambassador to China, this presentation offered a comprehensive overview of investment prospects and business development opportunities in this significant market, which the MEB intends to visit later this year.

INTERNATIONAL FORMALITIES

Since 1 June, the ATA Carnet has been gradually transitioning to a digital format

In a world where speed and traceability have become essential, customs formalities are taking a decisive step forward. Since 1 June 2026, the ATA Carnet has been transitioning to a digital format with the official launch of the e-ATA Carnet.  It is already in use across the 27 countries of the European Union, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Norway and the overseas territories. Roll-out will continue until 2028.

Economy Bulletin T1 2026

At the end of the first quarter of 2026, the economic indicators for the Principality of Monaco appeared more nuanced than they have been in recent years. They nevertheless remained at high levels, in line with their long-term trends.
