Economic conference with Ludovic Subran

Ludovic Subran, Chief Economist of Allianz, will give his always fascinating point of view on the global macroeconomic situation.

He will be speaking on the theme: "How can we prepare for the second Cold War?"

Over the past three years, public policy responses to the pandemic and the war in Ukraine have brought out the economic artillery: reallocation of capital, rationing, monetisation of debt. 2024 is already shaping up to be a highly political year, marked by numerous elections. The silent wars against ageing and climate change, and the Sino-American rivalry, are all part of the complex environment in which businesses operate. These risks rhyme with increased interventionism, fragmentation and polarisation - the triptych of a new Cold War. How do we navigate the race for subsidies, the return of an omnipresent state, strong financial and commercial frictions, and rising inequalities? We will try to answer all these questions.
