Members Rendezvous: a successful get-together

12/07/2016

Almost 200 business men and women from the Principality attended the Monaco Economic Board’s 26th Members Rendezvous, held in the enchanting Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel. Judging by the numbers who attend, these informal meetings are without a doubt an ideal networking opportunity. In his speech, MEB Chairman Michel Dotta reviewed the latest news affecting businesses in Monaco and looked ahead to the MEB agenda.

Teleworking

This bill having been approved by the National Council, it was only natural that the MEB would want to help get the message out to companies, hence why it convened a conference on 5 July attended by the Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Stéphane Valeri. Testimonies on the advantages of teleworking and a Q&A session were much appreciated by all those present.

Trade Missions to Russia and Azerbaijan

  • From 4 to 7 October, the MEB will be in Moscow for Monaco Week in Russia, a chance to celebrate the 10th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. The delegation of entrepreneurs is already full, confirmation if it were needed of the quality of contacts made during last December’s Monaco-Russia Business Forum.

  • From 6 to 10 November, the MEB heads for Baku. Ideally located at the gateway to Central Asia, Azerbaijan offers potential opportunities for regional development, not only in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) but also nearby Turkey.

Conference – “From Russia to Iran: a diagonal waiting to be rediscovered”

Russia and Azerbaijan will be put under the spotlight by Ludovic Subran, Chief Economist at Euler-Hermes at a conference in partnership with the JCEM, on 20 September, entitled “From Russia to Iran: a diagonal waiting to be rediscovered”.

The evening continued in a relaxed informal ambiance ideal for making contacts. The next Members Rendezvous will be on 19 September at the Yacht Club Monaco.
